Carousel Skate Center

Carousel Skate Center will have open skate sessions every day of spring break! Carousel also has a couple of pricing discounts including $2 Tuesday on March 12 from 1-8 p.m. $2 Tuesday includes $2 admission and $2 skate rental. Carousel is also offering the new $13 Ultimate Pass, which includes skating, Play Zone & a $10 game card! Normal pricing is $6 for skating or $6 for the Play Zone. If you choose to do both, it is normally $10 so the Ultimate Pass is a great way to save money and keep the kids entertained! ($2 skate rental fee is not included in the above pricing.) If you bring your own skates, there is no skate rental fee. (All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.)
Jumpy Jump Land

Jumpy Jump Land has 3 locations, Andover, Bel Aire, and Haysville. They will be hosting Open Jump times Monday-Friday between the hours of 10am-2pm and costs are just $5 per child with FREE jump admission for an adult with the purchase of a child. Wichita Sedgwick County Historical Museum
Visit the Wichita Sedgwick County Historical Museum for spring break! They’ll have special programs for kids and families. The spring break events are appropriate for 2nd graders and up.
Each event below is from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and participation is FREE; however, space will be limited so registration is highly recommended! You can go to one or to all three of these.
Tuesday, March 12, you can “Cowboy Up!” and join the museum educators for some fun. Kids will learn about the lives of early settlers and cowboys during a special tour of the museum, then they’ll make a buffalo silhouette in a Kansas sunset, play Cowboy Blackjack, and savor a Buffalo Chip cookie. (ha ha!) There’s a limit of 18 participants, so you’ll want to register immediately for this one.
Wednesday, March 13 “Celebrate Wichita!” with the museum. Kids will take a tour of special exhibits, make a Wichita flag, play Musical Chairs to Wichita songs, and savor a sugar cookie. Again, a limit of 18 participants means this spring break activity will fill up fast.
Thursday, March 14 Go “Victorian Style!” in the seven-room Victorian cottage at the museum and see up-close how life was lived in Wichita 125 years ago. Kids will play low-tech skill games like Old Maid, Pick Up Sticks, and marbles, and enjoy a sugar cookie or some horehound candy. Space is limited to 18 participants, so hurry to sign up for this spring break event.
The following event is from 3-4 p.m. and participants are encouraged to attend all three days. Again, the spring break program is free but registration is required and it will likely fill up very fast.
March 12, 13, and 14, Learn “The Art of Cursive Handwriting” from 3-4 p.m. All ages are invited to come to learn and practice the art of cursive handwriting. An experienced teacher will guide proper letter formation of upper and lower case letters as well as writing your full name. “Research shows cursive handwriting engages the brain more deeply than printing or typing. Correspondence to friends and loved ones, cursive art, journaling, study notes, and creative writing are only a few of the applications where cursive is useful.”

Time: 1-3 p.m. or 3-4 p.m.

Botanica Gardens
Wichita’s botanical gardens will be hosting some special spring break fun this year. Kids 12 and younger get in FREE with a paid adult admission or membership to Botanica during this special spring break week. They’ll have activities from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 11 to March 15, 2019.

The Wichita Art Museum welcomes all youth for just $1 admission with a paid adult ($7) or senior ($5) admission. Wichita Art Museum members and kids 5 and under get in free. This is the museum’s annual Spring Break Artcation. Try your hand at special artmaking activities in the museum’s Living Room and Art Studio. See family-friendly flicks in Wooden Lecture Hall selected especially for spring break. Explore the galleries with special tours. Each day highlights a new theme and art projects. Visit one day, or go to all of them. WAM’s art never goes on break, so you have something fun to do on your break!

They are not officially open for the season but they will open for a sneak peek for Spring Break 2019!
There will be live shows, dinosaur arts and crafts and a hilarious Mesozoic Midway with games for kids of all ages. You can also meet the new baby dinosaurs and experience the thrills of the four-story-high Kansas Climb adventure course.
This early access event is just $12 with additional discounts for groups and families of four or more. It will take place on March 9-17. In addition, your Sneak Peek ticket can be put towards the purchase of a Field Station Annual Membership which now through April 26th, you can get a discounted family membership for only $99! Ivan’s Spring Break Carnival

For spring break week this year, the Museum is transforming into a carnival! They will have crafts and activities throughout the Museum and our third-floor event space will play host to a variety of carnival games like Ring-A-Bottle, Tin-Can-Alley, Paper-Plane-Toss, and marble racing! They'll have a juggler roaming through the exhibits, face painting and balloons for all guests!
March 11th through March 15th from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Regular admission rates apply.

Battle Quest Wichita
Battle Quest is a children's activity center that offers Nerf Battles, Arcade, and fun!! You can bring your own nerf guns from home ONLY using foam ammunition or use one's there. Minimum age of 4, no max age. There are standard guns available to use with admission or upgrade options at $4, $6, and $8 on top of your admission price for bigger blasters. Regular admission is $10 per hour. There is a promo on Thursday of $6 per hour!

Kansas Aviation Museum
All kids between the ages of 1-12 can come for a discounted rate of $5 each and 1 adult chaperone gets in FREE per paid child. The rate is discounted to $5 for this promo. Check out the airplanes, fly in the flight simulator, or watch planes take off and land from the 3rd-floor windows!

Aviate Wichita will have no discounted rates or promotions being offered for Spring Break however they are open Monday-Thursday 10am-10pm, and Friday and Saturdays 10am-midnight.6 and under 1-hour jumping time $10
